The brief
As Sweet Atelier continued to grow, the client wanted to establish a stronger online presence and make it easier for customers to explore and order their creations.
The website needed to showcase their cakes, explain the services available, display customer reviews and provide a straightforward way to place orders.
It also needed to accommodate bespoke requests, allowing customers to enquire about personalised cakes that couldn't simply be purchased through a standard checkout.
Most importantly, the design needed to reflect Sweet Atelier's identity and the style of its creations.
What I built
I designed and developed a fully custom website tailored to Sweet Atelier, combining an elegant visual design with practical features for both the business and its customers.
- Online shop — Customers can browse selected products and place orders directly through a secure Stripe checkout.
- Bespoke cake enquiries — A dedicated enquiry form for custom cakes and personalised orders that require further discussion.
- Portfolio and galleries — Sections showcasing Sweet Atelier's creations and services.
- Customer testimonials — A space for visitors to read feedback from previous customers.
- Direct contact options — Access to Instagram, telephone and email through the website's contact page.
- Responsive design — A layout designed for desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
Throughout the project, I worked closely with the client, incorporating their ideas and preferences while offering my own design suggestions and recommendations.
Every element was developed around the needs of the business rather than relying on a pre-made website template.
